GRE (Subject Test only)

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a test taken by students applying to graduate schools. The GRE-Subject Test measures your knowledge of a particular subject. Several TTU graduate programs require Graduate Record Examination scores for admission to TTU. You should contact your graduate program to determine what GRE tests they require and what score is required for admission. The TTU Counseling Center only administers the GRE - Subject Test, which is a paper-and-pencil test. The GRE-General Test measures verbal, quantitative, and analytical skills.  The GRE - General Test is now a computer-based test, and the TTU Counseling Center no longer offers this exam.

There are several ways to register for the GRE-General or GRE-Subject Test. If you would like to register online for either the GRE-General or the GRE-Subject Test, you should go to: http://www.gre.org/. You may also call the Educational Testing Service at (609) 771-7670 to register over the telephone. If you would like to register via U.S. mail, the GRE Information and Registration Bulletin is available in the TTU Counseling Center.
