| About the Co-Op
Program
Basic Engineering students are strongly encouraged
to participate in the Cooperative Education Program (Co-Op) at Tennessee
Tech. The Program is a voluntary, independent educational program
available to all students in all disciplines. To be eligible for
Co-Op, students must have a 2.5 GPA and have attended TTU for at
least three full academic semesters. Transfer students are eligible
after completing two semesters.
Students who participate in the Co-Op Program and
graduate from TTU begin their careers with both work experience
and a degree. These qualifications help most students earn a higher
beginning salary, sometimes as much as $4,000 higher than those
who do not complete a Co-Op program. There are many other advantages
of participating in the Program.
