TTU Summer Scholars Program
Dates: June 28 – July 31, 2008
Program Description:
This is a five-week long summer bridge program for freshmen entering TTU in the
fall semester of 2008. It is designed to bridge the gap between high school and
college and to integrate students into campus life by equipping them with
focused academic instruction, learning, and critical thinking skills. This
program is specifically for students majoring in one of the STEM disciplines
(Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
The Summer Scholars will take two courses for college credit and have a head
start in earning credits toward their Bachelor of Science degree. Room and
board, tuition, and books are all paid for by the program. Students must,
however, provide their own materials in terms of personal items and school
materials. Participants who complete the program will receive a $400 stipend.
