Golden Eagles to host two nationally televised games

ESPNTV.comThe 2007-08 Ohio Valley Conference TV package for men's basketball includes two games from Tennessee Tech's Eblen Center, scheduled to be nationally televised on ESPNU in February.

Coach Mike Sutton's Golden Eagles will host TV games against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 2, and against Murray State on Thursday, Feb. 28.

Every OVC team appears on the 12-game schedule, announced today by the conference office. Murray State has three TV games, while Tennessee Tech is one of five teams with two games on the list.

The schedule includes 10 games to be shown on ESPNU, including both OVC Tournament seminfinal games on March 7. One game is set for ESPN2, and the OVC Tournament Championship contest will be on ESPN on Saturday, March 8 from Nashville's Municipal Auditorium.

Tech's game against EKU will tipoff at 1 p.m. CST, and the contest against Murray State will begin at 6 p.m. CST.

Five chosen for induction into Tech Sports Hall of Fame

One of the many highlights of Homecoming each year at Tennessee Tech is the annual Sports Hall of Fame Dinner, and this year the university inducted five new members.

The Hall of Fame Selection Committee named two former administrators and three former student athletes for recognition. In addition to a dinner held in their honor, the five were recognized on the field at the Homecoming football game.

Dr. Thurston Banks, Dr. David Larimore, Ryan K. Weeks, Edward (Eddie) Scott and Stacy Hughes Britt

This year’s inductees (left to right):
