Career
In addition to my position as secretary, I've also been a registration clerk, an executive secretary for the department head of Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering at the University of Kentucky, and I've held various positions at the Auburn Veterinary School.

Family
My husband, Jim, teaches agricultural engineering in the College of Agriculture at Tennessee Tech. My daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter live in Auburn, Ala., and my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter live in Lexington, Ky.

Favorite TV Shows
NCIS, Medium and sports

Favorite Music
Rock, country, jazz and classical. My favorite musicians are James Taylor, Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, Rod Stewart, Norah Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae, K.D. Lang, Cher, Streisand, etc.

Favorite Food
Mexican and anything my husband grills

First Job
Babysitting and working part-time for a bakery — not a good idea unless you need to gain 40 pounds!

Pets
We just lost our pet, a Siberian Husky. We had him for more than 16 years.

Hobbies
Reading, gardening, swimming, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles
