Our Students
The School of Agriculture at Tennessee Tech University is extremely
fortunate to have approximately 200 students majoring in Agriculture
and pursuing one or more of the following academic programs:
A student-friendly atmosphere provides a "home away from
home" environment, where students, faculty, and staff become
family.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds representing counties
from all parts of the state of Tennessee as well as many other
states. They hail from states as far west as California, as far
east as North Carolina, as far north as Pennsylvania and as far
south as Texas. Approximately half of our students come from farm
backgrounds, and the ratio of male and female students is approximately
50 percent.
Although TTU is ranked among the top universities in the south,
our students perform academically above the university average.
Many of our students are invited to join Phi Kappa Phi, Mortar
Board, and other campus honor societies. Our students also score
high on national standardized agricultural exams.
Students are very active in clubs and organizations and have
won several awards in state, regional and national competitions.
These competitions enhance their quality of education received
at TTU
Many of our students receive professional training through internships
and other employment opportunities. These experiences also enhance
students’ opportunities for career placement following graduation.
Come join us at Tennessee Tech University and receive a quality
education in a student- friendly atmosphere where students are
our top priority.
