| College
of Agricultural and Human Sciences
This fall, the new College of Agricultural and Human Sciences
welcomes its first dean since the reorganization that merged the
Schools of Agriculture, Human
Ecology and Nursing into
one college. The reorganization, approved by the Tennessee Board
of Regents
in June 2006, is part of the university’s strategic plan
to enhance administrative efficiency.
The mission of the College of Agricultural and Human Sciences
is to promote a strong academic environment for its students and
to preserve and expand knowledge in the fields of agriculture,
human ecology, and nursing, knowledge contained in its library
and in the minds and intellects of its
faculty.
The college offers curricula leading a bachelor’s degree
in each school and a master of science in Nursing is also available
through the RODP program.
