Statement of Program Educational Objectives for the

Computer Engineering Undergraduate Program 

  1. Provide the students with fundamental knowledge in, and training in the use of modern tools of mathematics, science, and engineering required for analyzing and solving computer engineering problems in practice, and for undertaking graduate studies.
  1. Equip the students with the ability to identify the technical and economic aspects of an engineering problem and to carry out the various stages of project planning and execution.
  1. Impart knowledge of, and appreciation for, the various aspects of engineering design problems including quality, cost and safety.
  1. Develop communication capabilities in the students necessary to function effectively in the profession and society.
  1. Inculcate in the students an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities, prepare them for the complex modern work environment, and instill in them the desire and  capabilities required for life-long learning.
  1. Provide the students with a broad education, which includes an appreciation and understanding of current issues of computer engineering solutions, and their impact on social and global issues.
